Overview

RecallHub is built on a simple principle: your conversations are yours. We minimize data collection, maximize local storage, and never sell or train on your data.

What we collect

Free tier

• Conversation text captured from supported AI platforms
• Source URL and page title
• Timestamp of each message

All free tier data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. It never leaves your device. We have no access to it.

Pro Local

• Everything in Free tier
• License key (for unlocking Pro features on the desktop app)
• Payment information at time of purchase (handled by our payment processor; not retained after the transaction completes)

Pro Local data lives entirely on your device. No server-side storage, no sync, no account required beyond the license key.

Pro Cloud

• Everything in Free and Pro Local
• Encrypted conversation data synced to our servers (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit)
• Account email (for authentication)
• Subscription and payment history (handled by our payment processor)

How we use your data

• To provide the RecallHub service (capture, search, sync)
• To improve product quality (anonymized usage metrics only)
• To communicate with you about your account

We do not:

• Sell your data to anyone
• Use your conversations to train AI models
• Share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service
• Access your local data in the free tier

Data retention

Free tier: Unlimited local history in your browser, retained until you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. Removing the extension or clearing its storage deletes all local data immediately.

Pro Local: Data lives entirely on your device. No server-side retention. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

Pro Cloud: Cloud-synced data is retained for 90 days after subscription lapse, then permanently deleted. Local data on your devices is unaffected by subscription state.

Security

• Pro Cloud data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Pro Local data never leaves your device — no server-side data exists to secure
• Free tier data is protected by browser sandboxing (the extension's IndexedDB origin)
• We use industry-standard security practices

Your rights

Pro Cloud data can be requested for full export or permanent deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. Pro Local andFree tierdata can be deleted by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's storage.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email (Pro Cloud users) or extension notification (all users).
